The MSA Board of Directors President presides at all meetings; is informed of all matters pertaining to the soccer league; the ex-officio of all committees, except the nomination committee; creates a long term plan of the association to be approved by the Executive Board; among other duties; manages the City of Millville’s NYSCA coaches certification program and maintain lists for the Registrar and Treasurer for payment of premiums (Liability Insurance); maintains a working relationship with all areas media, providing all information obtained from coaches and Executive Board to the media as needed; maintains the league website; maintains a bulletin board at the Club house, providing information to the parents; coordinates with the Director of Recreation information packets at the beginning of each season include dates of soccer camps, pictures, trophy presentation, etc.; maintains a history of the League consisting of a photograph album and news clippings from the entire year.

About Newell Branin: Newell has spent more than a decade with MSA making sure to help maintain social and media contacts for the club and be the conduit of information for the events happening in the club. He has coached soccer since 2002, and he loves being involved in bringing soccer to the youth in this community. He is very excited to be able to be a part of the administration here at Millville Soccer since 2002, and he hopes to continue to bring great programs for this club!

Newell is a New Jersey "F" License certified coach and Recreational Referee. He has worked with and lead teams to countless tournaments and championships.

The MSA Treasurer receives and banks all monies due to the Association and presides over the finances and reports monthly to the Executive Board, maintains bookkeeping records of such transaction of funds, pays bills for budgeted expenses and other unbudgeted expenses, gives a statement of finances and copies of all most recent bank statements, and completes financial report (tax return).

The MSA Secretary keeps minutes of all meetings, takes charge of all documents belonging to the Association, and notifies all members of meetings and provide minutes and agenda prior to the meeting.

The MSA Director of Recreation coordinates the recreational division, coordinates with the Director of Registration for the purpose of determining age divisions, assigns teams, players and coaches to their appropriate age classifications, appoints coaches and generate schedules for the recreational division, coordinates with the Director of Fields and Equipment the appropriate fields necessary for each season, and coordinates trophies at mid-season.

The MSA Director of Boys Travel attends all respective league meetings (SJSL and/or others) as Club Representative, gives written reports at Board meetings of the status of its affiliation with the South Jersey Soccer League or other leagues, coordinates with the coaches the appropriate date for the signing up of both new and former teams, manages their respective coaches for NJSYSA Licensing, and remains current with their respective division representative responsibilities.

The MSA Director of Girls Travel attends all respective league meetings (SJGSL and/or others) as Club Representative, gives written reports at Board meetings of the status of its affiliation with the South Jersey Girls Soccer League or other leagues, coordinates with the coaches the appropriate date for the signing up of both new and former teams, manages their respective coaches for NJSYSA Licensing, and remains current with their respective division representative responsibilities.

The MSA Director of Registration maintains a list of current players and coaches of the Association, coordinates registration dates with directors of recreational/travel divisions, maintains a list of coaches and players and coordinates with the Treasurer for payment of insurances.

Director of Ways & Means (Fundraising)

The MSA Director of Ways & Means coordinates with all player divisions (travel and recreational) their involvement with fundraising and sponsorship drives, oversees the concessions stand, advises the Executive Board of existing and forthcoming projects, and to study, review and make recommendations of possible fundraising projects and coordinates with Treasurer all incoming monies and expenditures.

The MSA Director of Fields & Equipment works directly with the City of Millville for the maintenance, lining and cleaning of the MSA facilities, oversees all bidding/purchasing of equipment and uniforms, maintains an up to date inventory list of all equipment and supplies, ensures that all equipment is used and maintained properly, and oversees all physical conditions of fields and to advise Executive Board of their conditions and if necessary, oversee their maintenance and repair.

The MSA Director of Coaching & Player Development leads the development and implementation of a unified plan for MSA which will provide the basis to develop the soccer player and soccer coaches’ skills and the attitude required to be prepared at all levels of play, ensures that all coaches maintain a minimal required training and certifications, works with program directors and coaches in development of a well-trained MSA coaching staff, provides clear goals and objectives for player and coach development, works with MSA program coordinators to distribute parent education programs, and communicates to players, parents and coaches of MSA’s Player Development opportunities.
